Luis Suarez banned: Fifa hand striker record nine-game ban AND a four month football ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini in biggest ever World Cup suspension

Luis Suarez has been handed a record nine-game international ban and a four month football ban after Fifa found him guilty of biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini, making the sanction the biggest ever World Cup suspension in history.

Fifa confirmed the news at their morning briefing on Friday at the Maracana Stadium, where they also confirmed that Suarez will have to pay a fine of 100,000 Swiss francs (around £66,000).

The governing body also confirmed that while he can appeal the decision, the ban will start immediately, meaning Suarez's World Cup is over. Furthermore, Suarez cannot attend any football stadium for the duration of the ban, after Fifa confirmed that he has been suspended from taking part in "any kind of football-related activity".

The statement released by Fifa read: "The player Luis Suarez is to be suspended for nine official matches. The first match of this suspension is to be served in the upcoming FIFA World Cup fixture between Colombia and Uruguay on June 28, 2014. The remaining match suspensions shall be served in Uruguay's next FIFA World Cup match(es), as long as the team (remains in the competition), and/or in the representative team's subsequent official matches.

"A stadium ban is pronounced against the player Luis Suarez in accordance with article 21 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code as follows: the player Luis Suarez is prohibited from entering the confines of any stadium during the period of the ban.

"The player Luis Suarez is prohibited from entering the confines of any stadium in which the representative team of Uruguay is playing while he has to serve the nine-match suspension.

Nigerian artiste, Muma Gee, is one celebrity that people can point at and say 'she is a fashion freak,' based on some of her musical videos.

The Singer, who welcomed her set of twins some months back, has disclosed that part of her hard earned resources goes to her hair.

According to Muma Gee, it only takes a special and patient person to make her hair which takes up to eight hours to be through.

She explained that she invests about half a million just to get her hair done, because of the high cost of human hair which she says is about N60,000 and she uses 11 packs of it.

The artiste was quick to explain that it is actually the hair pieces that can go for that amount and those hair can actually last for years.

She explained that 'I have had hair extensions that have lasted for years. Each time i remove the waves, i take it to the hair salon and they treat the hair and its as good as new.'

                         ANOTHER BOMB BLAST HITS WUSE 2

An explosion reportedly rocked Emab plaza in Wuse 2, Abuja on Wednesday 25th June 2014. The blast occurred at the busy plaza at about 4p.m. local time, setting off a huge fire. Witnesses say the explosion went off when a bomb-laden car drove through the gate of the shopping mall. 

Earlier reports from Nigerian users of micro-blogging site, Twitter, claim the blast came from a car and ‘felt’ like a bomb went off. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), men of the Fire service as well as security operatives have since arrived the scene. 

Emergency workers have reportedly evacuated bodies and the injured to the Maitama District hospital. The number of casualties haven’t been confirmed by NEMA but a witness has revealed that a lot of people died. According to reports from Premium Times, the Police have confirmed that 21 people have died and 17 others have sustained injuries from the blast. A lone suspect has been arrested. The blast occurred at the busy plaza at about 4p.m. local time, setting off a huge fire. The explosion destroyed 17 cars.

Police Spokesperson, Mr. Mba has said. There are indications the casualty figures will rise. At the Maitama hospital were victims were rushed to, the medical director confirmed that 35 injured and 12 bodies were received. General Hospital, Garki, has also confirmed receiving seven injured victims of the attack. Soldiers and security operatives have cordoned the scene of the blast. No group or persons have claimed responsibility for the attack. Abuja as well as several other Northern Nigerian states has been the target of deadly attacks by infamous terrorist group Boko Haram in recent times.
